State of Rhode Island Changes Stage II Vapor Recovery System Requirements

Earlier this year, the Rhode Island General Assembly introduced a bill to amend Section 1. Chapter 23-23 of the General Laws governing Air Pollution with  23-23-30. Stage II Vapor Recovery Systems.  This Amendment was introduced on March 8, 2012 and went in to effect on June 6, 2012.

to Stage II Vapor System Requirements

Following the U.S. EPA's May 16, 2012 ruling to allow states to phase out Stage II Vapor Recovery, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DEP has announced that effective July 9, 2012, new or modified motor fuel dispensing facilites as outlined in their official July 2, 2012 Letter.
